1. Manage more than one social media account
You can have a stream for your Twitter, Facebook profile (and Pages), LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram, certain blog platforms (not Weebly) and so many more!
2. Schedule posts
You can preplan what you want your posts to say and you can schedule them to go out on a certain day at a specific time! It is fabulous! These posts can be scheduled for whichever social media account you want and you can schedule the same post to go out over all of your accounts if you so choose. This is helpful when you want to plan out a strategy and implement it while working on the next one!
3. Receive Analytics
There are charts that are created based on what you want to monitor. You can see many different demographics of the people engaging with your posts.
4. More than one person can help manage the accounts
With this feature, the responsibility of creating posts, responding to posts and monitoring posts isn't just put on one person. The entire company can help. This is important when it comes to customer service. Another feature that can be used is assigning rank to the people that are involved in managing the accounts. For example, the Social Media Manager can assign a very low rank to an intern so that each of his or her posts has to be approved before it is sent out.
5. Accessable anywhere
The best thing about Hootsuite is that you can access it on your computer in the comfort of your own bed or on your smartphone in a taxi in Australia. No matter where you are or on what device, you can always access your social media accounts that are connected through Hootsuite.
Now that I have taken this class and have seen how I can really utilize Hootsuite to benefit a company, I think I will definitely have to use it in my next job.
Blog followers, have YOU ever used Hootsuite? If so, what do you think about it? Oh and have you gotten Hootsuite certified? I have!
